We were in Zion National Park today after about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Las Vegas. This photo was taken about 10 miles out of Springdale, Utah looking toward the peaks of the Zion canyon where we were heading. Even though we climbed quite a bit in elevation from Las Vegas, it was still scorching hot here at Zion. The ranger station said 106 degrees today. I'll post a couple of pics for you to get a feel for what Zion is all about.
